Friday, 11th June 2021: President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday appointed Balarabe Shehu-Ilelah, a veteran broadcaster, as the new Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission, (NBC).

The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, announced the appointment in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Segun Adeyemi, in Abuja on Friday.

He said Ilelah’s appointment is for tenure of five years in the first instance.
