
Oyo State Governor, Sen. Abiola Ajimobi
NIGERIA (Oyo)-Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State has assigned portfolios to new commissioners who had earlier been sworn-in.
The State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Gbade Lana, made the disclosure in Ibadan on Tuesday.
He spoke at a news briefing after the State Executive Council meeting.
The commissioner said that the Ministry of Integration and Inter-governmental Affairs would be headed by Tayo Koleoso, while the Ministry of Transport would be headed by Nureni Tanimowo.
He said that the Ministry of Natural Resources would have Fatai Abimbola as its helmsman.
Prince Lana stated that Atinuke Osunkoya retained her portfolio as Commissioner for Women Affairs, while Abimbola Kolade had been assigned to man the state Ministry of Works.
Gov. Ajimobi, according to the commissioner, has also assigned Wale Adeoye to the Ministry of Water Resources.
The State Ministry of Local Government, according to the commissioner, would be headed by Fatai Buhari, while Azeez Onaola would head the Ministry of Special Duties.
Prince Lana said that Abideen Oladimeji is to be in charge of the Ministry of Establishment, while the State Ministry of Agriculture would be headed by Iyiola Hammed.
He also said that the State Ministry of Land and Housing would be headed by Isaac Omodewu.
Prince Lana explained that the government had to wait for the creation of ministries by the State House of Assembly before the announcement of portfolios for the commissioners.
The commissioner said that the composition of State Boards and Parastatals would be announced later.
