Some Chinese companies on Monday donated two tractors, three cars and one bus to the
Access to Basic medical Care (ABC) Foundation, an initiative of the Wife of the Executive Governor of Oyo state, Mrs Florence Ajimobi, to facilitate the activities of the foundation
The companies - Camaco/YTO group, Geely group and Shaolin Bus group had earlierĀ this year promised to partner with the ABC foundation, in support of its work in providing quality and free health care services to Oyo state residents.
The representative of Geely motors that donated the cars, Mr Jeff Xu, stated that he is impressed with what he saw at the ABC foundation, adding that he has not seen a free service that is that well established even in China.
According to him, cars are an important part of human's daily life and due to the belief that the ABC foundation because of its wide scope needs cars to move around, Geely is giving the three cars in support of ABC's laudable work.
Mr Zhao, the President of the Camaco/YTO group that donated the tractors stated that his company on its earlier visit to ABC was impressed with what it met on ground, adding that as a company that likes to make people rich and knowing health is wealth, it is imperative they partner with ABC to make people healthy and consequently rich
In her reply, Mrs Ajimobi expressed appreciation to the companies for their support, adding that the ABC foundation depends solely on support from people and organisations as it is a non governmental organisation that has nothing to do with government
She stated that the ABC has 10 clinics around Oyo state aside the HUB and has since inception almost two years ago treated 250 000 people as each clinics treats 50 people daily
She urged the Chinese representatives to tell their people back home to further invest in Nigeria as the country is not the bad society it is painted to be, adding that there are many good people with laudable projects that sow back into the society
