Briton found dead in Lagos hotel

A Briton, Gibson Mark Damien, has been found dead in a hotel, Churchill Lodge, in Lagos State.

The lifeless body of the 55-year-old Briton was discovered on Wednesday by workers of the hotel.

Damien, said to be a staff of Port to Port Office, Victoria Island, Lagos, was reported to be a regular guest of the hotel located in the Lekki/Ajah area of Lagos State.

The spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, Dolapo Badmos, confirmed the development.

Badmos said: “The hotel manager, Mrs. Ihuoma Ubani, reported that the deceased, who was a guest in the hotel, was found motionless and a doctor from Ave Maria Specialist Hospital in Oniru was contacted to examine him.

“The doctor certified the British man dead.

“The remains of the man have been deposited at a morgue for autopsy.”
