Ghana, Lagos to collaborate on improving education
The University of Education, Winneba in Ghana on Friday said it would collaborate with the Lagos State Government to develop its education.
Prof. Kolawole Raheem, who led a delegation from the university, said this during a courtesy visit to the Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Idiat Adebule, in Ikeja, Lagos State.

Raheem said the collaboration was necessary to bring lecturers, students and researchers together to develop research findings and encourage innovative students with research grants.
According to him, an exchange programme will be established among students in West African higher institutions to exchange ideas and learn from one another.

He said: “A Memorandum of Understanding was signed with the Lagos State Government in 2005, but nothing was done.
“We have come here to visit the deputy governor, who is also the Commissioner for Education, so that the MoU will be revisited and renewed.
“It will be beneficial to the students, lecturers and the education sector in the state.”
Responding, Adebule appreciated the delegation and promised that the issue would be given adequate attention.
