
Ghana’s 15 year old actor Abraham Attah has been picked for a role in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Though his role hasn’t been disclosed yet, it’s certainly a huge achievement, considering Spider-Man’s global popularity.
After grabbing several awards for his role in Beasts Of No Nation (2015), Abraham Attah will be joining Tom Holland, Robert Downey Jr., Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Michael Barbieri, Kenneth Choi, Tony Revolori, Marisa Tomei and many others for the film.
Production is expected to start this summer with the film hitting theaters on July 7, 2017.
The award winning actor, burst onto the scene with his portrayal of a child soldier in Netflix’s “Beasts of No Nation.” He won the best actor trophy at the Spirit Awards in February on the day before the Academy Awards, after winning the Marcello Mastroianni Award for best young actor at the Venice Film Festival.
He’s also attached to star in Shane Carruth’s drama “The Modern Ocean,” which was unveiled during the American Film Market in November, along with Anne Hathaway, Keanu Reeves, Daniel Radcliffe, Chloe Grace Moretz, Holland, Asa Butterfield and Jeff Goldblum.
