Nigerian musician Seyi Shay has rendered an apology to colleague musician Wizkid after her “uninformed” utterance on who owned Billboard’s top charting single ‘One Dance” in an interview with Onstage TV in Jamaica broke the internet on Sunday.
The musician (Seyi Shay) who had been in Jamaica to probably work on some collaborations and look out for new opportunities revealed in an interview One Dance was actually Wizkid’s song.
“That was actually Wizkid’s song. So it’s not Drake’s song, I don’t know if I can talk about this but it’s Wizkid’s song, Legendary Beatz and some other Nigerian producers produced it as an Afrobeats song and they stripped a lot of the music away and just left it..”
Wizkid, however was not enthused about the news and described Seyi Shay’s comments on the ownership of the song as a lie and asked her not to talk about what she had no idea about.
