
Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Dioces, Bishop Mathew Hassan Kukah has donated 168 cows, rams and money to the diocess for the service of the Lord.
The items which was donated during his visit to the entire dioces, according to Bishop Kukah is in obedience to God’s commandment.
Sokoto diocess covers both Kebbi, Zamfara, Gusau, Katsina and Malumfashi dinary.
While the bishop went round the cathedral,, large number of believers came forth for the sacrament of confirmation from all states that made up the diocess.
In his homily marking the end of his visit at the Holy Family Cathedral in Sokoto, Bishop Kukah urged Christian faithful worldwide to remain obedient to God in whatever condition they find themselves.
“Obedience is the first most important thing in christianity. However, human beings created by God should realize that, arrogance is always an obstacle to realizing God’s plan for ones life.
“God has no favourite but have love for anybody who humble himself and obey His commandments”
Bishop Kukah added further that, serving in the vineyard of the Lord has great advantage, just as he admonished Nigerians to tolerate eachother as brothers and sisters created by God Almighty.
The bishop who lamented that, there is deliberate conspiracy to undermine the existence of the Catholic Church, however, stressed that despite effort at gagging the scripture, the word and work of the Lord continues to grow from strength to strength on daily bases.
Bishop Kukah equally consecrated the oil of Chrism which was given to all priest serving in the four states of the diocess.
