
Lagos collapsed building: GM, others sacked

Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode yesterday approved the immediate dismissal of the General Manager of the state building control agency (LASBCA), Engr. Adeigbe Olushola, over the collapse of a five-storey building under construction at Ikate Elegushi in the Lekki area of the state last week which killed 35 people.
Also affected by the governor’s directive are the agency’s Head of Inspection and Quality Control, Adeoye Thomas Adeyemi and the Zonal District Officer, Dosunmu Gbadebo, while the Zonal Head of Eti-Osa West of the Agency, Mrs. Akinde Adenike Sherifat was compulsorily retired.
