UN in Afghanistan condemns terrorist bombing in Kunar province

The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) said in a statement that indiscriminate use of explosives in areas crowded by civilians is a serious violation of international humanitarian law.
Earlier this morning in Asadabad city, in front of the Provincial Governor's office, a suicide attacker detonated his vehicle full of explosives, causing more than 40 civilian casualties.
UNAMA called on all parties to the armed conflict in Afghanistan that they are bound to uphold their legal obligations to at all times avoid harm to civilians
