The minister of agriculture and rural development Dr, Abdu Ogbeh with the state Governor Dr. Umar Ganduje has visited the multi-billion naira rice production mill in their effort to ensuring the food security in the nation as well as provision of employment to the nation. In his remark the minister expressed his satisfaction with the level of commitment being shown by the management in establishing such mega industry which is making the nation proud.

He then thanked the chairman and the state government for according the needed support to set up the industry which will help the farmers in the state in their effort to boost rice production.

In his remark, the chairman Alhaji Abdulkadir Aminu thanks the minister and the state governor for spearing their time and visit the industry which served as a historic and courageous to him. He further stated that the aim of establishing the company is to help the federal government in ensuring food security and job creation to the nation.

And stated that the company when completed would have the capacity of producing more than five hundreds metric tonne per day of rice, and also has the capacity of employing more than thirty thousand employees.

In his part, the Kano state governor said this kind of project testifies to the fact that Kano is the true centre of commerce and a pioneer in food production to the West Africa and stands to be praised.
