Against the speculation that the Supreme Court verdict is being influenced, Barr Lowo Obisesan, former Commissioner for Environment and Habitat in Oyo State said that the Supreme Court is the apex Court in Nigeria and before they could give their verdict, they must have done their work according to what the law says, stressing that the Nigerian Judiciary is not biased in judgement.

Furthermore, he said, any court of law in Nigeria is not a court that would be bias about whatever is going to be their judgment. The first judgment from the tribunal and the one at the Court of Appeal, you will discover that their concurrent findings are superb. So, there is nothing anybody could do and by the time it gets to the Supreme Court, the Supreme Court would surely hold in line with what the law says and that is the verdict of the land and it is superb. It is a judgment that must have gone through its own merit.

He therefore added that Judiciary are not bias because it is the fact that you bring to Court that the Court will determine its decision on. He further said, the way you place your facts before the Court is what the Court will look into and when they evaluate the evidence they will place their findings on that and that would be what the judgment will be based upon. By virtue of judgment from the tribunal, the other one at the Court of Appeal and the one that just came out from the Supreme Court, they are judgment on merit. They are not bias.

He however commended the effort of Sen Ladoja in sending congratulatory message to Gov Ajimobi. He said, that is the best attitude towards life. Winners should not always take off; there should be spirit of sportsmanship. If you and another person are contesting for something and God says you are not going to be the one to get that thing, you should congratulate the other person because he has seen the favour of the Almighty God.

Moreover, he used the opportunity to advice the people to allow peace to reign in Oyo State so that the state would forge ahead and maintain the slogan that has always been maintain for a very long time.
