
In its bid to advance women economic empowerment, no fewer than 25 Nigerian women across the country are to benefit from the United Nation’s Women, Intel Corporation, Information Communication and Technology programme.
The two bodies in collaborations with the National Centre for Women Development (NCWD) disclosed that the programme was to increase utilisation of digital services and e-services to advance women’s economic empowerment, literacy and the use of ICTs among women and girls to promote their businesses.
According to the Director General, National Centre for Women Development (NCWD), Lady Onyeka Onwenu, as part of moves to accelerate Gender Equality and Women’s Economic Empowerment in Nigeria, the United Nations and Intel Corporation have partnered National Centre For Women Development, NCWD, to train 25 Nigerian women on increase utilisation of digital services and e-services to enhance small scale business.
