KWHA APPROVES AHMED’S REQUEST TO APPOINT 10 SPECIAL ADVISERS

THE Kwara State House of Assembly has approved the request of the State Governor Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed to appoint ten Special Advisers to facilitate smooth running of government. The House of Assembly gave the approval today at the resumption of its plenary session following the Presentation of the Governor’s message dated 26th June 2015 by the Deputy Speaker Mr Mattew Okedare who Presided over the Sitting. The Legislators were unanimous in their decision to approve 10 Special Advisers as requested by the Governor. The Governor had in the message,which he personally signed said the request was in accordance with Section 196 sub section 1-2 of the 1999 Constitution to enable him deliver on his electoral promises to the people of the State. He said having fully settled down to the business of governance, he required the services of Kwarans adjudged capable to support him in the onerous task of delivering the dividends of democracy to the masses of the State. The Speaker later directed the Clerk to the House Mr Ayotunde Oyeniyi to communicate the approval to the Governor accordingly.
