9 GHANIAN REFEREES FACES 6MONTHS SUSPENSION OVER AGE FALSIFICATION

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has taken disciplinary action against nine referees for allegedly falsifying their age.

CEOAFRICA news desk gathered that the affected match officials were alleged to have presented the GFA with documents that portrays them much younger in their quest to mve up the ladder and be selected for international competitions.

An Executive member of the GFA, Randy Abbey, who is also the Chairman of the Referees Appointment Committee has revealed this, stating that they were discovered during recent course for elite referees in Accra.

Among those listed in the swindle are; Uriah Glah, Daniel Dorgbetor, Amofa Sarkodie, Augustine Akugre, Alex Akugre, Osman Oadragou, Samuel Kyeremeh Yeboah, Prince Tawiah and Fredrick Bediako.

However the listed offenders were said to have been served with a six months suspension by the authorities of Ghana Football Association.
