The Comptroller, Nigeria Immigration Service 9NIS) , Osun State Command, Mr. Chris Onunwor, has called on the newly promoted officers in the command to be more dedicated to their duties.

Speaking while decorating the newly promoted seven officers during a parade held at the headquarters of the command, Osogbo on Thursday, he said whoever was seen to be committed to discharge their duties excellently will not be excluded from being promoted. “With the express permission of the comptroller general, you are today decorated with your new ranks. It is important to state that these new ranks you are wearing did not come by magic or by circumstance but by the hard work which you displayed through your character and discipline befitting para- military officers.

“In the years ahead, as you climb the ladder of this service, you will be assigned with tasks that will challenge your new ranks. At that point your ability to rise up to the tasks will determine whether you are qualified to go higher or not.”

Onunwor urged the newly promoted officers to always show their preparedness to serve the nation and to move forward the NIS while advising them to be loyal and patriotic citizens of Nigeria.

Also, the Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Osun State Command Mr. Tajudeen Balogun, and the Deputy Comptroller, Nigeria Prisons Service, Mr. Stephen Badmus, both advised the promoted officers to continue to work hard to justify their new ranks.

While speaking one of the newly promoted officers, Mrs Maureen Famuyide thanked the NIS for giving her and other newly promoted officers the opportunities to serve while pledging their commitment to work harder to move the service forward.
