AS the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) top organs begin to scrutinise 38 names of its members seeking to be considered for union presidency in the next general elections, Ambassador Amina Salum Ali has promised to remain loyal to the party should she lose.
"I believe I have the qualifications required by the party and hope to be considered by the top CCM organs as party flag bearer in the coming elections.
However, I will accept results and remain loyal to the party if unlucky," Ms Ali told a press conference in Zanzibar before flying to Dodoma.
Ms Ali said she has always been tenacious and never get disappointed in politics. "My first attempt was in 2000 for Zanzibar presidency, I lost but I have never been discouraged," Ms Ali said.
The African Union (AU) Ambassador (retiring) to the United States of America said she has a good experience of leadership and the knowledge of about what the majority poor Tanzanians in rural areas need from the next president.
"I had a good experience when looking for sponsors; people including members of CCM need inclusive leadership; respect to party leaders at local level; war against corruption and abuse of children/women intensified; more transparency; share the natural wealth; improve social services and improved judiciary system.
They want a more meaning full Big Results Now (BRN) in all sectors," Ms Ali said
