Soldiers have abducted Lawrence Eyaufe and Ejiro Efetobor from a protest in Ethiope West Local Government Area and are allegedly being tortured in a "concentration camp at Koko military base in Ogharra area of Delta State."

Reports have it that the soldiers forcefully broke up the protest, chased the fleeing protesters and seized Messrs Eyaufe and Efetobor.

The aim of the protest was to bring awareness to the series of abuse to which the military has subjected the residents and the extrajudicial killing of Benson Ogedegbe last week.

The 19th battalion under Lt. Col. Umar has reportedly been working against the interests of the people by allegedly "working with criminal gangs in the area and providing protection and support for miscreants."

CEOAfrica efforts to unravel the activities of the soldiers were frustrated as the military authorities were reluctant to answer questions and also refused to say if an investigation into the conduct of the 19th battalion was ongoing.
