Nollywood actress and Africa Movie Academy Award (AMMA) nominee Kemi Lala Akindoju has revealed that she owes veteran movie filmmaker Tunde Kelani a lot of gratitude “for having confidence in me and by giving me my first lead role in a full-length movie.”

The Insurance graduate from the University of Lagos made this revelation at the free screening of the Kelani’s "Dazzling Mirage" at the Silverbird Cinemas, Lagos.

"Dazzling Mirage is my first lead role in a movie and I think I owe Tunde Kelani a lot for taking a big risk by using me as against more popular faces.

“Kelani took a big risk, but today he has made me a star,’’ Lala disclosed while making a remark after the screening last Thursday.

 Kemi is nominated for Best Young/Promising Actress at the 2015 Africa Movie Academy Awards.
