The two-day downpour in Lagos brought down a house on Ijaiye Street, Agege, Lagos, aside rendering many roads impassable and stalling business activities.

However, no life was lost in the collapsed building.

For days, Lagos residents, especially those in Oshodi, have been battling with flood owing to the persistent rain that fell for most part of each day.

Passengers found it difficult to get to their destinations as there were fewer vehicles on the roads, and people who ventured to trek had to wade through the flood.

Gutters were filled up, roads submerged, and cars got stuck in “rivers” that flowed into neighbouroods with dirt and refuse.

Market women and traders had their own share of the unpleasantness as they were deprived of their means of livelihood.

The Apapa-end of Oshodi Expressway, CeoAfrica gathered, was probably the most affected part of the metropolis. Other places affected included Ejigbo and Ketu.

Sunday turned was a bad day for most churchgoers as they were stranded at various bus stops, endlessly waiting for taxis and buses.

Meanwhile, the National Emergency Management Agency is currently looking into the situation, focussing more on affected houses.
