Its no secret that a lot of chicken lovers prefers the imported  frozen chicken to the locally breed  ones, may be its because of its price or for reasons best know to them, what is important however is the message being passed across by NAFDAC concerning this delicacy.

The director general of NAFDAC ,Dr Paul Orhie in a press briefing today advise against consumption of imported  frozen foods,as he said the processing and its preservation method can not be ascertain and may contain substances that are detrimental to health causing serious health issues such as liver damage and cancer. He further said though these frozen foods as been banned ,it still finds its way into Nigeria.

Mr Ayoola Oduntan, a member of the poultry association said research has shown that locally breed birds are better and have no healthn risk and thus should be consumed in place of its imported counterpart to safeguard one’s health.
