KWARA NUJ CELEBRATE NIGERIAN ICONS

The Kwara state chapter of the National Union of Journalist   celebrate its annual edition of NUJ award ceremony yesterday at the state NUJ press centre. The program which attracted dignitaries in Ilorin was the concluding part of the NUJ press week which started last week.

The award ceremony was used to celebrate both great Nigerian icon who had distinguished themselves   in Kwara state and also great journalist who had strived to succeed in their chosen profession.

The Nigerian icons that were celebrated at the program for their numerous effort within the state   are,    Dr Emmanuel Onucheyo, The Former Resident Electoral Commissioner of Kwara state, Mr Abidoye Emmanuel   MD/CEO Femtech Nigeria Limited, chief (Mrs) R.M. Oladimeji the Registrar of Alhikmah University And also Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim an established businessman within the state was honoured.

 Dr Emmanuel Onucheyo while speaking on behalf of other awardees appreciated state chapter of NUJ for acknowledging the effort of notable Nigerians who have worked hard to help the government in building up the nation and creating positive atmosphere in country.

He further Stated in an interview with CEOAfrica, that the award is not only for him but for every interagency and INEC staffs that worked with him towards having a peaceful election in Kwara state.
