NIGERIANS SHOULD AVOID U.S 2015 PREDICTION-EX. OYO SSG.

Former Secretary of Oyo State Government(SSG)and Immediate past-Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA),Dejo Raimi has called on Nigerians not to give room for the U.S based agency prediction that Nigeria would disintegrate by 2015 to be a reality.

 

As he was thanking God for seeing him through 80 years on earth and for Nigeria as a country which granted him Scholarship in his 25 years of uninterrupted education sojourn, in the country and abroad. He said this when marking his 80th Birthday.

 

He called on Nigerians to pray against the U.S prediction of Nigeria disintegrate and stressed that God who brought the country together for the reasons best known to him will keep this country together.

 

He stated that if Nigeria as a country was able to survived three years of Civil war and still stands as a country, then peace loving Nigerians should do everything possible to keep this country together.

 

The Medical guru cum Politician admonished the warring factions in the People

Democratic Party (PDP) to sheath their swords and work with President Goodluck Jonathan to drive the affairs of the country to a greater height till 2015 and beyond.

 

Adding that it is Constitutional and morally right for the President to spend two terms in office as his south-south geo-political zone had not ruled the country before.

 

He puts it that as the Secretary of southern forum, series of consultation was engaged before the south-south geo political was considered for the post of the number two citizen before the fate works in his favor to be the president of Nigeria.

 

Adding that, the zone is the golden geese laying the golden eggs for the nation, calling other zones to let peace reign and let the south-south go for another term in the spirit of fairness, equity and justice, and at the same time stating that President Jonathan has improve power supply, reformed our rail system and his commitment in ensuring security of lives and property should be considered too.
