GUNMEN suspected to be kidnappers have abducted one Syrian national, Mah Fath Nagor, at RIM Construction Company, Azara, in Awe Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, while a sum of N50 million was said to have been placed on him.

Investigations by the Nigerian Tribune revealed that the kidnappers invaded the company, on Monday, around 9.30 a.m., and started shooting sporadically to scare away the staffers of the company.

Witnesses said Nagor, who was kidnapped alongside one other staff member, was said to have been traced from home, as he was abducted while alighting from his vehicle.

According to one of the witnesses, “immediately the abductors entered the site, they started shooting sporadically to scare the workers and after they succeeded in that, they asked Nagor to enter the vehicle.”

When contacted on phone, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ismaila Numan, confirmed the abduction, saying efforts were on by both the police and soldiers to track down the kidnappers.
