Osun State Governor and Accord Party governorship candidate, Ademola Adeleke, has recorded victory in his first polling unit as results from the ongoing governorship election begin to emerge across the state.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared the Accord Party winner of Polling Unit 026, Ward 5, in Osogbo Local Government Area.

Accord secured 57 votes, defeating the All Progressives Congress (APC), which polled 43 votes.

Results from other polling units across the state have also started trickling in following the conclusion of voting.

Although there have been reports of intimidation, vote-buying and other incidents of electoral violence in some areas, voting proceeded peacefully in several parts of the state.

The final result of the election will be determined by the collation of results from polling units across the state.
