Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has married his long-time partner, Georgina Rodriguez, after nearly a decade together.
The couple exchanged vows on Tuesday in an intimate ceremony at the seaside resort of Cascais, west of Lisbon, Portugal, with their five children in attendance.
Ronaldo confirmed the marriage on Instagram by sharing a photograph of their wedding rings alongside the caption, “C ❤️ G.”
The wedding took place exactly one year after Rodriguez, a model and influencer, announced their engagement.
Ronaldo and Rodriguez first met in 2016 while she was working at a Gucci store in Madrid. Since then, they have become one of the world's most recognisable celebrity couples.
The 41-year-old football star currently plays for Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr, having previously enjoyed successful spells with Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus. He has also won the prestigious Ballon d'Or award five times.
Rodriguez has established a successful career of her own, gaining a global following through her Netflix reality series, *I Am Georgina*, which documents her family life and relationship with Ronaldo.
Together, the couple command hundreds of millions of social media followers and have built a business empire extending beyond football and entertainment, with interests in fashion, hospitality and other ventures.
Their private wedding marks a new chapter in a relationship that has remained in the global spotlight since they began dating in 2016.
