The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, on Tuesday received a consignment of protective gear donated by a United States-based organisation, Signal 63 Ministries, at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

The donation was delivered through Fundamental Baptist Ministry International and facilitated by Bill Graham, alongside Philemon Sidi and his wife.

In a statement shared on the Nigeria Police Force’s official handle on X on Wednesday, Disu expressed appreciation to the donors for their support toward improving officers’ welfare.

He described the donation as a timely intervention aimed at boosting the safety and operational effectiveness of frontline personnel.

“This donation is a critical intervention aimed at enhancing the safety and operational confidence of our frontline personnel,” the IGP said. “We deeply appreciate the generosity of Signal 63 Ministries and the facilitating role of Rev. and Mrs. Sidi in making this possible.”

Disu reaffirmed the commitment of the police leadership to prioritising the welfare and equipping of officers to enhance service delivery across the country.

“The well-being of our personnel is not negotiable. It remains a cornerstone of our drive to build a more resilient and professional police force. We will continue to pursue every opportunity that strengthens the capacity and safety of our officers,” he added.
