Iran has issued a warning urging residents and workers in parts of the United Arab Emirates to leave areas surrounding major port facilities in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Fujairah, citing the possibility of military strikes.
The warning was reported by Iran’s semi-official Tasnim News Agency, which said individuals living or working near several key ports — including Jebel Ali Port in Dubai, Khalifa Port in Abu Dhabi, and the Port of Fujairah— should evacuate the surrounding areas immediately.
According to the report, the locations could become potential targets due to the alleged presence of United States Armed Forces operating within or close to civilian infrastructure.
“These areas have become legitimate targets due to the presence and concealment of US military forces among civilian installations and will be targeted in the coming hours,” the agency quoted Iranian officials as saying.
The warning comes amid escalating tensions between Iran and Israel, following a series of military exchanges that have heightened fears of a broader regional conflict. The situation intensified after Israeli strikes on Iranian facilities linked to its military and nuclear infrastructure, prompting Tehran to vow retaliation against Israeli and allied interests in the region.
The United States, a key security partner of the United Arab Emirates, maintains military assets across several Gulf states as part of its longstanding regional security presence. Iranian officials have repeatedly accused Washington of backing Israeli military operations and have warned that locations hosting US forces could be considered targets if hostilities expand.
Authorities in the United Arab Emirates have not confirmed any evacuation order linked to the Iranian warning, and there has been no official statement from Emirati officials addressing the claim.
However, the development has heightened concerns about the safety of critical shipping and energy infrastructure in the Gulf, particularly around some of the world’s busiest commercial ports.
