The faction of the Peoples Democratic Party aligned with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has declared that an urgent gathering of the party’s Board of Trustees and National Executive Committee will convene on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.

In a notice released on Monday by the factional National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, and posted by the FCT minister’s media aide, Lere Olayinka, on his X page, both sessions are slated to take place at the NEC Hall of the PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja.

The notice disclosed that the BoT meeting will begin at 11:00 a.m., while the NEC meeting will follow at 2:00 p.m.

It added, “Attendance is very important as crucial matters will be discussed and addressed.”

CEOAFRICA, had earlier reported that the PDP, at its 2025 National Convention in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Saturday, expelled several high-profile members, including Wike, Anyanwu, former National Legal Adviser Kamaldeen Ajibade, former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, Imo PDP Chairman Austin Nwachukwu, and others for alleged anti-party activities.

The motion for their expulsion was moved by former PDP Deputy National Chairman (South), Bode George, and seconded by the Bauchi State PDP Chairman, Samaila Buga.

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, who also chairs the PDP Governors’ Forum, subsequently put the motion to a voice vote, which was overwhelmingly endorsed by delegates, signalling the party’s resolve to confront internal dissent and anti-party conduct within its ranks.
