The memorial service for slain U.S. conservative activist, Charlie Kirk drew an audience of more than 20 million viewers across cable television and online platforms, far surpassing the massive in-person turnout in Glendale, Arizona.
Verified figures showed 7.49 million views on Kirk’s YouTube channel, 3.8 million impressions on his X account, 2.43 million views on Fox News’ YouTube livestream, and 1.26 million on the Associated Press’ YouTube feed. These numbers exclude additional streams on Rumble, Facebook, Twitch, and replays still climbing.
Nielsen data added another 5.37 million average viewers on cable between 1:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. ET. Fox News drew the largest audience with 4.79 million viewers, peaking at nearly 6 million during Erika Kirk’s tribute. CNN attracted 330,000 viewers, while MSNBC drew 251,000.
In the key 25–54 demographic, Fox News led with 687,000 viewers, compared with 48,000 for CNN and 21,000 for MSNBC.
Turning Point USA, the organization Kirk founded, claimed global livestream totals exceeded 100 million, though that number has not been independently verified.
The memorial, held at State Farm Stadium, lasted more than five hours and featured tributes, worship music, and a eulogy delivered by former President Donald Trump. Police estimated up to 100,000 people attended in person across the stadium, an overflow arena, and outdoor viewing areas.
