The Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria (ACPN) hosted the 6th Nature's Field Afrikana Night, on Friday, July 25, 2025, as part of the celebrations for the 44th Annual International Scientific Conference.

Took place at the International Conference Centre (ICC) in Awka, the event’s theme, "Technology Integration and Personalized Care: The Future of Community Pharmacy Practice," set the stage for a vibrant evening filled with entertainment, networking, and a showcase of cultural heritage.

Stakeholders in the pharmaceutical industry, including healthcare professionals, dignitaries, and industry leaders, attended the night full of camaraderie and joyous celebration. The atmosphere was electric, energized by the sounds of laughter, live music, and the rhythmic beats of traditional dances, as guests came together to recognize and appreciate the contributions of community pharmacists to healthcare in Nigeria.

Dignitaries present at the event included Pharm. (Sir) Azubuike Okwor, Past President of the PSN; Pharm. Uchenna Apakama, BOF-PSN National Chairman; Pharm. (Dr.) Ignatius Anukwu, Chief Operating Officer at Alpha Pharmacy; Pharm (Prince) Adewale Oladigbolu, Immediate Past National Chairman of ACPN; Pharm. Ambrose Igwekamma Ezeh, National Chairman of the ACPN; and Pharm. Lizette Njideka Ezenekwe, a distinguished fellow of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria.

The event commenced with an opening remark by the Managing Director of Nature's Field, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the community pharmacists for their unwavering support.

"It is with great pleasure to welcome all of you to the 6th Nature's Field Afrikana Night. We cannot thank the pharmacists enough for all the support we always receive from you. Without the pharmacists, we wouldn't be here. We assure you of the quality of all Nature's Field products that you sell. Tonight we have a lot in stock for you—enjoy yourselves, relax. We always organize this because, as pharmacists, we work hard and spend considerable time sourcing and purchasing. Tonight, we want you to have fun!"

Pharm. Ambrose Igwekamma Ezeh, in his remarks, praised the event as a significant annual tradition for the conference. “This is the 6th edition of this Afrikana Night, and it has become an integral part of the ACPN conference schedule. It brings joy to our members, and even if they don't attend other programs, they always attend this. We appreciate Nature's Field; your products are exceptional, and we will keep encouraging our members to maximize patronage,” he said.

As the night progressed, attendees danced to live music, celebrated local cuisine, and engaged in lively networking that fostered collaboration among pharmacists and other healthcare stakeholders. The night was illuminated by an array of activities, including a captivating fashion parade showcasing traditional African attire, where pharmacists proudly displayed their cultural heritage.

Attendees eagerly volunteered to share their positive experiences with Nature's Field products. One pharmacist remarked, “Since using Nature's Field products, I have noticed significant improvements in my wellness; they truly deliver quality.” Another added, “I have personally recommended these products to my patients, and the positive feedback has been overwhelmingly encouraging.”

Throughout the evening, numerous exciting gifts were awarded to winners, including appliances such as freezers, air conditioners, microwave ovens, washing machines, standing fans, cooking gas burners, televisions, and even a car, creating moments of joy and surprises for attendees.

The 6th Nature's Field Afrikana Night successfully combined fun, culture, and professional growth, leaving participants inspired to foster a spirit of unity and collaboration within the community pharmacy sector. As the evening concluded, both laughter and the spirit of community service rang loud and clear, reinforcing the invaluable role of pharmacists in advancing healthcare in Nigeria.
