The head of the World Trade Organization has sent her condolences following the death of the UK's Prince Philip.

Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala in a tweet praised the duke for founding the Earthshot Prize council, an environmental award that she is involved with.

"Saddened by the passing of HRH Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh. My condolences to HM the Queen, PM @BorisJohnson, @trussliz  and people of the UK. Let me particularly condole HRH Prince William, Duke of Cambridge @KensingtonRoyal, Founder & member of our Earthshot Prize Council", Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala tweeted.
