All is set as Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology celebrates its founder’s day

All is set for the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology (FCAHPT), Moor Plantation, Ibadan, to celebrate its Founder’s Day, which also marks its 57th anniversary.

The event is taking place today, Thursday, April 1st, 2021, at the Dr K.J Nwufoh Hall, Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, Moor Plantation, Ibadan by 10:00AM.

The Founder’s Day lecture is organized by the college to commemorate the 57th anniversary with the theme: “Nigeria: Food Security, Internal Security and Feedlot System”, to be delivered by Professor E.A. Iyayi, the Registrar, Nigeria Institute of Animal Science, and the sub-theme of the lecture -“Improving Livestock Productivity and Health in a Post Pandemic Era”- which would be delivered by Prof. Wole Olufemi.

CEOAFRICA reported that the guest speakers of the day are “Erudite Professors, accomplished Veterinarian and Animal Scientists, who have distinguished themselves in the field of Animal Health and Production in Nigeria.”

It is worthy of note that the 57th anniversary celebration of the FCAHPT will have “distinguished alumnus awarded in recognition of their immense contributions to Animal industry and growth of the college.”

The Provost of the college, Dr Adekoya Owosibo, disclosed in a chat with CEOAFRICA that this year 2021 Founder’s Day celebration will be his first time as the provost of the college.

Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari appointed Dr. Adekoya Olatunde Owosibo as the Provost and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, Moor Plantation, Ibadan, on Friday, 21 August, 2020.
