Kidnappers demand N100m as ransom for farm owner’s son in Ibadan

Abductors of poultry farmer’s son have demanded N100million as ransom to regain his freedom.

The gunmen on Monday stormed Oke Odan area of Olomo, Apete community, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital and abducted a 24-year-old Ayodeji Emmanuel in his father’s poultry farm about 5:00pm to an unknown place.

It was gathered that the kidnappers invaded the farm armed with sophisticated weapons.

About 10pm on Tuesday, the abductors called the family of the victim and demanded the ransom of N100m.

The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Apete division had intervened to ensure calmness among the residents.

Also, the Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), CSP Olugbenga Fadeyi, had also said the command was working towards securing the freedom of the victim from his abductors.
