In its efforts to keep the flag of its academic excellence flying, Chrisland University has taken the lead by resuming fully its 2020/2021 academic session online.

The university’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Chinedum Babalola, made this known in her welcome address which was made available to CEOAFRICA on Tuesday

Babalola disclosed that Chrisland University began its academic activities online on Monday, January 11 amidst second wave of COVID-19 which poses risk of reopening for other Nigeria’s universities.

Babalola said, “The commencement of the online classes was indeed successful and encouraging.”

In her welcome address, the VC stated that “The Management welcomes the teaching staffs, students and the non-teaching members to a new academic session of the university.

“We are fully aware of the second spike of COVID-19. So we urge every concerned members to comply strictly to COVID-19 guidelines of face-mask wearing, washing of hands and physical distancing.”

The VC added that necessary provisions to curb the spread of the coronavirus in the institutions have been provided by the management.

Recall that CEOAFRICA reported Chrisland University as one of the Nigerian Universities to kick start online classes for its students through its HP- Classera, during the last lockdown ordered by the Federal Government on March 29th, 2020.

Chrisland University saw the lockdown as a blessing in disguise to set a pace in the Academic sector through the use of a Learning Management System (LMS) and its HP-Classera to successfully complete a semester academic calendar, thereby commence another undisrupted academic session online.
