Churches in Lagos yesterday opened for activities with many observing the precautionary safety measures set by the presidential task force to curtail the spread of the deadly coronavirus.

A look at some of the photos yesterday shows that the churches observed social distancing and many wore their facemasks to church.

CEOAFRICA recalled that churches opened nearly six months since the government closed it down in a bid to curtail the spread of coronavirus.

The Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu earlier this month announced that churches can now reopen from August 9, for worship, he stressed that churches must observe all COVID-19 protocols such as social distancing and others.

It is no wonder then that Christians in the state came out in their numbers, wearing their facemasks as they observed social distancing while they worshiped God in their various churches.

Many who attended service on Sunday noted that things are not yet back to normal.
