Nigeria Vice President, Namadi Sambo has declared of the government successful enrolment of about 500,000 women in the Subsidy Re-investment and Empowerment Programme (SURE-P).

Namadi Sambo while speaking at the“Nigeria Women Rally for Peace & Empowerment” celebration on Thursday extolled the role of women in the national development, describing the women role as pivotal to the growth and advancement of the nation’s economy.

He stated the women role cannot be ignored as the administration is doing everything possible to return the women to their rightful place in the society.
