Police nabs gunmen who killed two Okada riders in Delta

The officers of the Nigeria police force have arrested gunmen who reportedly killed two commercial motorcycle riders identified as Monoria Ofishe and Jamilu Umaru, in Mosogar and Ujevwu communities in Ethiope West and Udu Local Government Areas of Delta State.

The commercial motorcycle riders were reportedly robbed of their motorbikes after they were killed by the hoodlums.

Umaru was killed on Friday last week, while Ofishe’s death was reported earlier.

The Delta State Police Command on Sunday confirmed the development.

The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Hafiz Inuwa, said,”The victims were robbed of their motorbikes after the attack.

”The suspects in connection to the Mosogar murder, Mr. Ovie, 22 and John, 21, were nabbed on Friday and the motorcycles, recovered.

“The suspects had confessed to the crime and are being transferred to the Homicide Division of the Police.

”I assure you that the police will not rest until the other perpetrators are apprehended.”
