Aide to the leader of Accord Party and former Oyo State governor, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, Lanre Ogundipe, on Thursday dare Governor Isiaka Abiola Ajimobi on his threat to institute a libel suit against Oyo Anti-Corruption Group following a publication in Guardian Newspaper of August 14, 2013.

Ogundipe who is the coordinator of the group in a statement in Ibadan said "no one should be under any illusion that the said publication was a ruse."

While noting that the group was committed to expose the dirty deals of an insincere government that lacks probity and accountability in administering the resources of the state prudently, he explained that the petition filed with EFCC and ICPC by the group was to ask the anti-corruption agencies to scrutinize the financial transaction on Mokola Flyover and Bodija Bridge and other contracts awarded by the Ajimobi-led government."We are not only ready for High Court; he should proceed to the Supreme Court to contest the veracity of our contention. We are ready for any form of litigation on the issue; time has come to expose these corrupt/sharp practices by the operators of government business."We cannot be intimidated by such an empty threat from a legal illiterate who feels bullying people would deter them from pursuing a just cause. And of course for lawyers who will want to swindle him and the government would jump at the offer to defend such awards of scandalous contracts."

Ogundipe who advised Governor Ajimobi to stop pulling wool over the faces of the people of the state on Mokola Flyover, said “issuance of legal threat cannot stop us from exposing the monumental fraud he and ilk fostered on the state. While calling on the EFCC and ICPC to act promptly on the group petition, he the new twist of legal action would mark the beginning of the end Ajimobi’s administration in Oyo state.
