The Nigeria Immigration Service, Oyo state command on Tuesday celebrated 12 retirees who have successfully completed years of service in office.

Speaking at the event, the comptroller, Oyo State Command NIS, Saleh Abdullahi commended the twelve retirees for their total dedication to the services of their father land.

Congratulating the retirees, Abdullahi said “Whatever has a beginning must surely have an end. I congratulate you as you have formally pen down today in the history of Nigeria immigration service after having serve your fathers land for 30 – 35years or for those who attend the mandatory age of 60years you have contributed positively to the growth and development of Nigerian immigration service while you were in service you have left your footprints on sand of time.’ You came, you saw and you conquered”.

“You are retire but not tired, hence you have advice to still commit your talent, timing and benefit to whatever you enjoy doing, what people commend you for which must be stressfree as you are now senior citizen. You can not make a wrong choice if you are in good relationship with your God. Therefore, be at peace with God your creator, with yourself, family, neighbor and the community. Rest adequately, exercise moderately”.                                                                             

“A period of retirement is a period of reduction in income. Above all, take care of your health so as to enjoy the fruit of your labour” he added.
