Insecurity: Police outlaw volunteer security outfit in Kaduna

The Kaduna State Police Command on Wednesday banned the activities of a volunteer security outfit, known as Yan Sa Kai/Yan Bula throughout the 23 Local Government Areas of the state.

In a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Yakubu Sabo, said on no account must any individual or group parade themselves as members of the outlawed security outfit across the state.

The police spokesman said the command would deal decisively with any errant individual or group who violated the order.

The police chief said, “The Kaduna State Police Command under the capable leadership of Commissioner of Police, Ali Janga, has informed the general public on the ban on activities of Yan Sa Kai/Yan Bula throughout the state henceforth.

“Thus, on no account should any person or group of persons parade themselves as Yan Sa Kai/ Yan Bula and Perform any form of voluntary security assignment within the Command.

“The Command would not hesitate to deal decisively with any person or group of persons who violate the order using the instrumentality of the law.”

He added that the Commanda solicited the support of the public in providing timely and useful information about the activities of criminal elements in the state.
