AWKA, Anambra -                                                           The wife of vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Mrs.Dolapo Osinbajo, will visit Anambra State on Friday to declare open this year’s Mothers’ Summit holding in the state.

Her husband visited the state recently for a meeting with stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress.

The VP had, at the meeting, said Anambra State must join the “Next Level” in 2021.

He blamed APC’s failure in elections in the state on disunity among members, urging them to endeavour to win the state’s governorship election scheduled for 2021.

Anambra State has been ruled by the All Progressives Grand Alliance since 2006.

In a statement by Emeka Ozumba, media aide to wife of the Anambra State governor, Ebelechukwu Obiano, the VP’s wife would be in the state on Friday for the 2019 Mothers’ Summit holding at Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka.

The statement reads in part,”The highlight of the annual women’s meeting is the conferment of awards to select Anambra women of exceptional and excellent achievements in various fields of women endeavours.

“The Mothers’ Summit has, over time, become a veritable platform for the exchange of ideas and celebration of our womenfolk.

“We have done it for over four years now and I thought it’s fitting to have an exemplary mother and wife of the Vice President join us as we deliberate and recognise our hardworking daughters and achievers.

“The annual Mothers’ Summit brings together Anambra women to deliberate on issues of common interest to women in the evolving demands of modernity.”
