459th Inaugural Lecture: Ex-Nigeria’s SGF Yayale commends U I for identifying Professor Yahaya’s impacts in the Institution

The Nigeria’s former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Alhaji Mahmud Yayale Ahmed has recently commended the Nigeria’s premier University, the university of Ibadan for identifying the talents and impacts of Professor Mohammed Kuta Yahaya.

The ex-SGF said this on Thursday 11th July, 2019 while speaking with CEOAFRICA at the 459th Inaugural lecture of the University of Ibadan where Professor Mohammed Kuta Yahaya of the faculty of Agricultural Science, University of Ibadan delivered his inaugural lecture titled “Voice for the Voiceless Hungered Angered”.

“Alhamdulilah! The inaugural lecture was fantastic, excellent and successful. The significance of the lecture is that, a premier University like the University of Ibadan has identified the talents and impacts of Professor Yahaya. They gave him all the opportunities to prove himself to the world for delivering the University Inaugural lecture where he has raised up his voice to speak for the voiceless people” Yayale said.

The ex-SGF said ‘’As a Northerner, this really shows that the country is united. In an academic community, irrespective of where you come from, if you are a heaven blessed kind of brain, the world will feel your impact and you will be celebrated for it. We are very proud of University of Ibadan to have honoured Professor Yahaya”.

The inaugural lecture was graced with prominent personalities like; Nigeria’s president, Muhammadu Buhari ably represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Dr. Muhammad Umar, the former Head of State, General Abdulsalam Abubakar GCFR; his wife, Fatima Abubakar; Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba AbdulRasheed Adewale Akanbi; Niger state governor ably represented by his deputy, Ahmed Muhammed Ketso; JAMB registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede; Vice Chancellor, University of Ibadan, Prof. Abel Idowu Olayinka; Prof. Ayo Banjo, Prof. Safiya Yahaya and well-wishers from Niger state.
