Chrisland University (Photos): Criminology department visits Ibara prison, surprises inmates with shocking gifts

As part of the events marking criminology week, the department of Criminology and security studies, Chrisland University paid visit to Ibara prison, Abeokuta, Ogun state capital.

CEOAfrica learnt that the students of the department sourced for funds and support by themselves, with little assistance from the school management, purchased and presented items which are relevant to the to the inmates.

Some of the students attested that the departmental week which was held from 15-17th, May 2019, had a lot of exciting activities attached to it.

It was indeed a memorable week for both the students and staff of the department, as they were engaged in a bodily exercise.

Chrisland university community also benefited from the week, as the department organized a lecture on crime alert, which described the use of technology to track and combat crime.

The criminology week, however ended with a dinner, which equally added spicy to the event.

The VC, Professor Chinedum Peace Babalola, on that same breath, expressed her gratitude for the enormous achievements the students are recording for the past months.
