A fierce gun battle broke out between policemen and some armed robbers who tried to rob a priest on Friday, 7^th of June, 2019 at Hardel Junction, Orji, Owerri.

The incident which happened yesterday led to the death of one of the armed robbers.

It was gathered that the robbers took their robbery to a junction which has a police station around and the uniformed men could not take such assault.

They engaged in a gun battle with the robbers and shot one of them dead.

It was learnt that the other robbers escaped at the heat of the gun battle.
