Borussia Dortmund have completed the signing of Bayer Leverkusen forward Julian Brandt.

The 23-year-old has signed a five-year contract with the Ruhr district club, keeping him at the Westfalenstadion until June 2024.

It was previously reported that Brandt’s Leverkusen contract included a €25m release clause.

Although, Liverpool and Spurs were subsequently linked with the creative midfielder, but Brandt expressed an unwillingness to leave Germany, and so became the BVB’s third summer signing.

Brandt created more chances than any player in the Bundesliga this season, with 86.

The 11 assists these amounted to is also the third-highest total in the division.
