Following the brutal murder of a Kenyan prison warden, the country’s Police sources reportedly revealed that the slain deceased, Pauline Wangari met one of the suspects in her case on Facebook.

Joseph Ochieng’, the prime suspect in the brutal killing of the 24-year-old, met the deceased for the first time on May 13, 2019, and the lady was found dead the next day, media outlet, U.Report has this to say.

According to police, the two had been talking online for sometime before Wangari invited him over to Murang’a on May 13, 2019.

Ochieng'; revealed to detectives that was the first time they met face-face and described their relationship as ‘just friendship.’

Police further indicated that the accused might have had an argument with Wangari and later took a kitchen knife and stabbed her in the chest, neck and abdomen.

Detectives believe Ochieng’ then placed the knife in Wangari’s hand to make it look like she had killed herself.

The suspect was among three who were arraigned in court on Friday in connection with the murder.

However, the court has detained the suspects, Joseph Ochieng, Rodgers Namkuro and Mary Amollo until May 31 to complete investigations.

Peterson Njiru, another suspect who had been arrested on Wednesday, was released on police bond after charges against him were withdrawn.

It is reportedly believed that he was the boyfriend of the deceased.
