Former Sudanese President, Omar al-Bashir has been charged over the killing of demostrators during the anti-government march that led to the end of his decades-long rule.
The office of Sudan';s acting prosecutor general, in a statement on Monday, said “al-Bashir and others have been charged for inciting and participating in the killing of demonstrators”.
It would be recalled that earlier this month, the public prosecutor ordered al-Bashir to be interrogated on charges of money laundering and financing terrorism.
There has been no comment from the former president since his removal and arrest on April 11.
The announcement came as Sudanese protesters and the country';s military rulers resumed negotiations on handing power to a civilian demonstration.
