Mohamed bin Zayed, President of South Sudan signs MoUs

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Salva Kiir Mayardit President of South Sudan, on Tuesday 23 April, 2019 attended the signing of a number of agreements and Memoranda of Understanding, MoUs.

The MoUs were based on protection and encouragement of mutual investments, avoidance of double taxation, and mutual visa waivers in addition to boosting technical cooperation and training of diplomats.

The investment and avoidance of double taxation agreements were signed by Obaid bin Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, and Salvatore Garang Mabiordit, Finance Minister of South Sudan.

Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation and Nhial Deng Nhial, Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Sudan, signed the visa waiver, technical cooperation and training of diplomats MoUs.

Attending the signing were Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Industry, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority, and Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Undersecretary of the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi.

From the Sudanese side, Ayii Deng, South Sudanese Cabinet minister in the president's office, Minister of Petroleum, Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth, and Deng Deng Nhial, Ambassador of South Sudan to the UAE were in attendance.
