Supplementary elections: Police announce vehicular restriction

The Federal Capital Territory, FCT,  Police Command has declared restriction in affected area councils which include: Bwari, Kuje and Kwali ahead of the rerun elections, slated for Saturday 23rd March.

It said there will be the restriction of vehicular movement in all the wards affected in Bwari, Kuje and Kwali Area Council, from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.

FCT Command spokesman, ASP Danjuma Gajere Tanimu, however, stated that Ambulances, Fire Service trucks and others on essential duties will be exempted from this enforcement due to the sensitive nature of their services to the public.

“While regretting the inconveniences this restriction might course the affected FCT resident, the Command want to assure residents that proactive security measures have been put in place for peaceful conduct of the supplementary election.
